Batanes

Batanes  is an archipelagic province situated in the Cagayan Valley region also known as the “Home of the Winds” due to its calm and windy weather. Its made of 10 volcanic island but only three are inhabited, Batan, Sabtang and Itbayat. The place is so peaceful, crime rate is almost zero apart from its breathtaking views. One of the interesting places to see  in Batanes is the Basco Lighthouse, the site of the American period telegraph facilities that connected Batanes with the central government until it was destroyed by the Japanese during World War II.
